Step 1: Import eBay Shop Reviews

Log in to Opinew’s dashboard and open Reviews > Shop Reviews.

On the Shop Reviews page, locate the eBay Seller reviews button, and click on it.

You will be prompted with Opinew’s importer settings.

• Add your eBay Seller feedback link. If you’re unsure how to locate it, please follow this article.
• Choose how many reviews you’d like to import
• Choose which reviews to import (1 star to 5 stars) 
• Translate reviews to the language of preference
• Decide if there is a minimum amount of words needed on the review to import it 
• Choose to import only reviews with images or not

Wait for a few seconds until the reviews populate to your Shopify store.

Step 2: Display Shop Reviews on your store

If you’d like to display eBay Shop reviews on your store, you have 3 options:

• Create an all-reviews custom page in your Shopify store. Follow this article in order to create a custom page for your Shopify store and link it to our all-reviews widget.

• Link reviews to a product: Once Shop reviews are imported, you’ll have the possibility to link each review imported to the product of your choice.

• Add an all-reviews badge to your email and footer: follow these instructions to add it to your emails, and this article to add it to your Shopify’s store footer.

Step 3: Display eBay’s date format on Shopify

If you’d like to display the review date in the same format as on eBay’s shop feedback page, head over to Widgets > Product Review Widget.

Under General Information, scroll down until you locate the Date Format section. Click the toggle to activate it, and on the dropdown selection, choose “Relative”.

That’s it, your reviews will now display “The past month” instead of “09/10/2022”.

Step 1: Install Opinew on your Shopify store

Head over to the Shopify app store and install Opinew on your store.

Before importing reviews, make sure your products have been uploaded to your store.

Step 2: Use the in-app form to import eBay reviews to Shopify

Log in to Opinew’s dashboard and open Reviews > Import Reviews.

Select a product and fill in the settings to import reviews from eBay.

Opinew will automatically recognize the eBay product URL and know that you are importing from eBay. Here are the settings available when import reviews from eBay:

• Add the link to your product on eBay.
• Choose how many reviews you’d like to import. (depending on your plan’s limit)
• Translate reviews to the language of preference.
• Decide if there is a minimum amount of words needed on the review to import it.
• Automatic Synchronization. (available from the Growth plan)
• Import only reviews with images or not.
• Approve all imported reviews. If not selected, you will need to go to Reviews > Manage Reviews in order to approve them manually once the import is complete.
• Choose to replace your reviewer name. Example: Change A***B with something more trustworthy like Alan B.

Wait a few seconds for the reviews to import from eBay, and the Status should show as “Success”.

Once imported, you will be able to:

• Head over to Manage Reviews, to publish/unpublish reviews, and make sure you are happy with the imported reviews.
• Automatically synchronize reviews if your plan is eligible, and you haven’t checked the automatic synchronisation box in the import settings.
• Delete all reviews that were imported by clicking on the “trash” icon.

Getting Started

Before going into the tutorial, make sure you have all this installed and set up on your Shopify store:

Open Amazon by CedCommerce and start linking your Amazon products to your Shopify products. Once you’re done syncing the inventory, make sure you also have the Opinew Google Chrome Extension properly set up and linked to your Shopify store.

Import Reviews for a single product from Amazon by CedCommerce and Opinew

Once you’re all set up, head over to Amazon by CedCommerce and open the “Listings” page.

After reaching your listings page, a new column should appear and display an import reviews button.

Click on it, and this will open a pop-up with the settings to import your reviews. Choose how many reviews you want to import, what kind of ratings they have, if you want to translate them and if you want them to only have images. Once you’re done, click on import reviews at the bottom.

Once reviews are imported, the “Import reviews” button will switch to “Reviews imported”. On there you’ll see how many reviews were imported and the average stars rating for this product.

Import reviews in bulk with Amazon by CedCommerce and Opinew

Another way you could import reviews with this integration is by opening our Chrome extension while you are on the Listings page. This will allow you to import reviews in bulk for all your products, in just one-click.

First, click on “Bulk Import” on top of the extension pop-up.

You will be prompted with the review importer settings. Configure it in a few steps and then press “Import reviews for all products”.

Your reviews should be importing to your Shopify store. Keep in mind this can take a few seconds and up to a minute, depending on the number of products you have.

Once the review import is done, the Chrome Extension will display
“Success” in the status column.

That’s it, all your products on the listing should now be populated with reviews!

Open the Codisto app and connect your Amazon account to manage your Amazon inventory and sync it with your Shopify store.

How to import reviews for a single product using Codisto and Opinew

Once you’re done syncing your inventory, open the listings page in the Codisto app and make sure that the Opinew Chrome Extension is properly configured.

On your listings page, the chrome extension will automatically add a new “import reviews” button below each product. Click on the button and it will open Opinew’s import settings.

Configure it following your needs, and click on Import Reviews.

Upon completion, the “import reviews” button should turn to “reviews imported”.

How to import reviews in bulk with Codisto and Opinew

Open your listings page on Codisto. Once opened, click on Opinew’s Chrome Extension on your toolbar. It will display an option to bulk import reviews for all your products in 1-click.

Configure the settings according to your needs, and click on import reviews. The process should take a couple of seconds to a few minutes.

That’s it, all your products on the listing should now be populated with reviews!

Amazon Product Link Correct Format

The correct way of copying a product URL is to visit the product’s main page; verify the browser is not inside a subsection of the Amazon page.

Amazon Product Link Incorrect Format

If the page you’re on looks like the picture below or the URL includes the part ‘/product-reviews/’, this means this is the incorrect link.

AliExpress Product Link Correct Format

Another valid format is to remove all the extra text after the ‘/item/4000901174719.html’ and leave a short version of the product link URL.

eBay Product Reviews

Reviews for a specific product

When you need to import reviews from a specific eBay product page, always be sure you can see a star rating widget beneath the product’s title on the page you’re visiting.

eBay Shop Reviews

Reviews for the entire shop

If on the other hand, you want to import reviews from a shop’s overall page, on the right-hand side part of the page search for the element with the username and the total number of reviews next to it.

After you click this username the shop’s reviews page will open and you will see this view, this will be the correct URL to import shop reviews from eBay.

Step 1: Get the Chrome Browser extension

Step 2: Activate the extension

Open the Opinew app in your Shopify dashboard. This will activate the extension.

Step 3: Open DSers

Inside your DSers dashboard, go to the My products page and select your Shopify store.

Step 4: Import reviews (Single Product or Bulk)

Single Product

Each of the products will have an “Import reviews” button. Click it to import reviews

Bulk

Go to DSers “My products” page. Then click on the extension icon in Chrome navbar. Then click “Bulk Import”

Step 5: Modify, sync, or delete reviews

After you import reviews for a product the “Import reviews” button will change to a green “Reviews Imported” button. Clicking on this button will show a popup with information about the imported reviews. You can sync, modify or delete these reviews by clicking the buttons inside the popup.

Are your filters too narrow?

You might have overlooked if the filters you set match any reviews on the product you’re importing from (only with photos, only 5* reviews). For example. If you set the filters to import only reviews with photos and there are no reviews containing photos.

There may be no reviews, or the correct country domain may have been missed

Sometimes you forget to check if the product actually has any reviews available. Amazon might show reviews but when you look closer it will show that they are all from Amazon Germany but you used the amazon.com link. In this case, you will have to use the amazon.de link to show the reviews.

My Bulk import isn’t pulling reviews into Opinew

If you are importing reviews from Amazon, we can only import the reviews where Opinew can match your SKU in Shopify with the SKU on Amazon. Check that the SKU numbers match for the bulk importer to pull through reviews.

For Bulk reviews import from Apps like Oberlo, Dropified, or Importify, Opinew will only import for products that are available on Aliexpress and have existing reviews.

Import Amazon Seller reviews to Shopify

2. Pick the source you want to import reviews from. In this case, we’ll pick Amazon Seller reviews

Import Ebay Seller Reviews to Shopify

1. Open Opinew and go to “Reviews > Shop”
2. Select “eBay Seller Reviews” on the page.
3. Populate the link with your eBay Seller Feedback URL, feel free to follow our guide on how to find it.
4. Press import and you should see Opinew populating your store with your eBay Seller reviews!

Keep new reviews on Amazon and eBay synchronized automatically

This feature is available on paid plans only.

If you have imported Amazon or eBay Shop reviews into your Shopify store once, you have the possibility to automatically import new reviews that appear there.

In order to do that, just head over to Reviews > Product Reviews, open “import settings” on the top right and click on the checkbox to activate the automatic synchronization.

Automatic synchronization will import any reviews left on Amazon or eBay after the date of your initial import.
