Make sure you have both Lantern & Opinew installed on your Shopify store.

In order to both apps, please create your quiz, and then head over to the “Results Page”:

Once there, on the right sidebar menu, locate “Results Integration” and expand it.

In order to add reviews to Lantern’s quiz, click on “Show product reviews”.

Once the box is ticked, you will have a dropdown menu with the review apps you can integrate Lantern with, scroll down to locate Opinew and select it.

For instance, let’s say you may want to send a review request to a customer only after the third purchase. To do that, go to your Klaviyo Review Request Flow (you can see how to set this flow here) and click on the flow’s Trigger. After that, select Profile filters and click Add.

Then, build the conditions and select ‘What someone has done (or not done)’ as the condition. Once done, select ‘Eligible for Opinew review request’ on the next option and then set the conditions as ‘is greater than’, ‘2’ , ‘over all time’:

Don’t forget to click Save.

That’s it! Your review requests will be sent after the third purchase and so on.

You can set this for any amount of events as you want as well as different triggers.

Requirements

Opinew Product Reviews installed on your store, and ideally with reviews already on your products.

Activate Opinew Extensions inside Beae Page Builder

Before being able to drag & drop Opinew components into your pages, you will need to activate them within Beae’s editor. In order to do that, open any pages you would like to customize.

On the left sidebar, locate and click on “Elements”.

Scroll down to the bottom and locate the “Extensions” drop-down option. Click on it and you will see an “Add New” button.

Open it and you should be able to locate the Opinew Product Reviews App extensions. Click “Install Now” and go back to the editor.

Once the Opinew extensions are installed, you will now see that 3 new extensions are available for you to drag & drop:

  • Product Stars
  • All Reviews Badge
  • Product Reviews

Step 1: Drag & drop the “Product Stars” extension below your product’s title, or the position of your choice.

Step 3: Drag & drop the “All Reviews Badge” to the position of your choice. We usually recommend adding it to the footer or at the end of the page.

Set Opinew As Your Default Review App on EComposer

When working with pre-built templates, you’ll notice that some review sections are already pre-added. In order to avoid you to drag & drop the Opinew elements, and delete the existing ones, you can just open the settings panel on the top right of your screen and select Opinew as the default review app.

This will automatically connect to Opinew and display the reviews from Opinew.

Drag & Drop Opinew Reviews to EComposer Pages

If you are going full custom, here’s how to drag & drop the Opinew elements:

  • Open the editor
  • Click on the extensions on the top sidebar and search for Opinew widgets
  • Install all Opinew widgets
  • Now on the left sidebar, scroll down to the 3rd party section in the Elements tab
  • Locate Opinew widgets and drag & drop them to the location of your choice

If you are looking to customize the widgets’ style, alignment and more, you will need to do it inside Opinew’s dashboard and save your changes before you see them on your live pages.

Requirements

Opinew installed and reviews added to your products.

GemPages Page Builder installed on your Shopify store.

Once you have set up both apps, you must head to the GemPages dashboard and create a new page. Once on your new page, locate “Library” on the top left, select Elements and scroll down until you locate Opinew. Toggle to activate it and the Opinew integration should be activated.

Add Review Widgets to GemPages’ Custom Product Pages

To add Opinew’s review widgets to your custom product pages built with GemPages, create a new product page first and assign it to a product or multiple products. Then, on the left sidebar, scroll down until you reach “Third-Party” elements and you should see the Opinew element.

To add star ratings to your product page, just drag & drop the Opinew element below the product title or the location of your choice. The default state of the Opinew element is our main review widget, so you will need to select the element and change it on the left sidebar. Under “Choose widget”, open the dropdown menu and select “Star Badge”.

If you want to add the main review widget with the actual reviews, you must drag & drop the Opinew element again to the location of your choice (we usually recommend below the product description). You won’t need to change the element’s state as it is by default the main review widget already.

Feel free to publish or preview the live page to check if the location is correct and if the widgets display correctly.

Add Star Ratings to Collection Pages

Opinew allows you to display star ratings below your products on your collection pages, and our integration with GemPages also lets you do that!

First, create a collection page and assign it to a collection you created. Then repeat the same steps as above and drag & drop the Opinew element to one of the products listed in this collection. It will automatically be added to all the products in the collection.

Now, all you need to do is change the state of the widget in the dropdown menu and select “Star Badge in Collection”.

The collection page should now display star ratings below your products’ names.

Add a Review Carousel on your Homepage or Landing Pages

First, create your homepage or landing page with GemPages and then drag & drop the Opinew element to the location of your choice. When adding it to one of these pages, the Opinew element’s state will be by default our Carousel widget. Hit Publish and the Opinew Carousel widget should display on your homepage or landing page.

If you don’t see the Carousel widget, it may be because you haven’t added any reviews to be displayed in your carousel. In order to do that, you can follow our guide on how to add reviews to our Carousel widget.

Add an All Reviews Badge to GemPages

Opinew’s all reviews badge is a great way to quickly show the total amount of reviews you have and an average rating of all your products. If you’re looking to add it to your header or footer, you will need to do it through Shopify theme settings as GemPages doesn’t allow you to do that. You can check out this guide on how to display Opinew’s All Reviews Badge to your Shopify theme.

If you’d like to display the All Reviews Badge on one of your custom pages created with GemPages, you can just drag & drop the Opinew element again to the location of your choice and then change the state to “All Reviews Badge”.

In order to display Opinew’s All Reviews Widget, you will need to create a new custom page. In order to do that, open GemPages’ dashboard and create a new Landing Page. On this new page, just drag & drop the Opinew element and select the “All Reviews” state. Hit publish, and all your reviews from all your products will be displayed on this page.

That’s it! You should be able to now use all of Opinew’s Review Widgets on your custom Shopify pages built with GemPages.

Here’s how to do it:

Head to one of your Gorgias tickets and on the top right corner click on the gear icon:

On the next page, grab the Standalone element from the left side of the screen and drop it on the right section:

Then click on the edit icon and on the next window place a name for the widget (Opinew, for example) and click Submit:

Once done, click on Add Button:

The next window will show up. On Button title place Leave comment, on Method select POST and then on URL type https://api.opinew.com/reply-gorgias like this:

After that click on the + sign below Query Parameters. There, place on the Key field user_information, and then on Value and Edit Label place {{ticket.external_id}}:

Click again on the + sign below Query Parameters to add a new one. Now on the first field place comment, leave the Value field empty and under Edit Label place Your comment. Finally click on the Editable and Mandatory icons on that same row like this:

On the Body section select application/x-www-form-urlencoded and click Save:

Finally click Save Changes:

That’s it! Now every time you get a new review ticket generated by Opinew, you’ll be able to leave a comment to that review inside of Gorgias. Just click on the newly created Leave Comment button on the right side of the ticket and typing your reply on the window:

Once you click Execute you’ll see a success message meaning the setup and the comment were posted succesfully.

Add Star Ratings to Replo

Open Replo, and create a new product page or edit your current product page created in Replo.

Open the component tab, and search for the liquid component. 

Drag & drop the liquid component to the location of your choice on your page. For product stars, we usually recommend placing them right under your product’s name or above the price. 

Open the Config tab and “Launch the code editor” on the right sidebar. 

Copy and paste the liquid code on this page or below and hit “Save code”.

If you can’t see it live in the editor, click to preview the page. Once you’re happy with it, hit publish. 

If you’re looking to customise the colour or the display of the stars, you will need to head back to Opinew’s dashboard > Widgets > Product & Collection Stars.

Add Opinew’s Main Product Review Widget to Replo

On the same page, create a new container, and add a new liquid component inside of it.

Copy and paste the liquid code below and hit “Save code”.

Reply to Reviews on Zendesk in 4 steps

Once you have connected Opinew and Zendesk, head over to Zendesk’s Marketplace and install our Opinew custom app.

Once installed, anytime you open a ticket that has been created by Opinew, you will be able to open the Opinew sidebar app.

After you opened the sidebar app, a text box will let you write your reply to the review.

Write your review and hit “Send”.

Wait a few seconds and a pop-up should appear on the top right to let you know that the review was published.

You can then head over to Opinew to double-check that the review has been uploaded and is visible on your Shopify store.

That’s it! Now your support agents can directly reply to reviews on Zendesk. This will help them save time and focus on other tasks while you make sure that no reviews are left without a reply.
