Update tags

Inside the Opinew-related flows, the event properties used as tags on emails need to be updated, so we need to go through all the emails that use these tags.

To do that we select the email blocks on the flow and then on the right sidebar we select the Edit template button. Once inside the email template editor, we do the following:

Tags for Eligible for Opinew review request emails, replace Old tags with the New ones:

Remove the .items.data part of every old tag (if present).

Tags for Left a review on Opinew emails, replace Old tags with the New ones:

Remove the .items part of every old tag (if present).

Also make sure to edit the tags from image blocks, links, buttons and other elements apart from text blocks on the email editor.

All the other functionalities of the integration like coupons, sync profiles, adding profiles to lists, will work as usual. The only thing needed to upgrade is the tags from the emails.

These analytics are available right within the Opinew dashboard, and will allow you to better understand your Shopify store’s review strategy, and what actions you should take to improve it.

Revenue

Total Revenue is the revenue generated from your Shopify store for the month.

Influenced Revenue is a way of tracking how much influence your reviews are having on your orders, any order that was placed within a 24-hour period of that customer interacting with any of your reviews will be counted as “influenced” by a review. If your total revenue was $50,000 and your influenced revenue was $48,000 it would mean that 96% of your orders placed interacted with reviews before purchasing.

Coupon Revenue is how much revenue can be attributed to dynamic coupons generated by Opinew in exchange for leaving a review. Having a healthy value here shows that your customers are coming back and using the coupons that you rewarded them with.

Review Requests

Email Requests are emails sent out to your customers either through Opinew or Klaviyo requesting that they leave you a review following their purchase. This number shows how many customers left a review via this method.

SMS Requests are SMS sent out to your customers either through Opinew or Klaviyo requesting that they leave you a review following their purchase. This number shows how many customers left a review via this method.

Open Rate is the percentage of customers who opened and read your email or SMS review request.

Completion Rate is the percentage of customers who opened your email or SMS review request and left a review using the review form on your Shopify store.

Link Reviews are reviews that were collected using our review request link tool, either directly via the link you sent to them, or via any email marketing/support application, you are using.

Widgets

On-site Widget are reviews that have been left directly by customers visiting your website, these reviews have not been solicited by Opinew’s request flows. Customers that leave a review directly on your on-site review widget will need to verify their identity via email confirmation.

Review Imports

Imported Sources are reviews that have been collected from an external marketplace using the Opinew Import system; this will count both manual and automated collections from Amazon, eBay, and Aliexpress.

Migrated Sources are reviews that have been uploaded to Opinew via CSV. For example, reviews collected from another review platform, from a spreadsheet, or as an export from somewhere like Etsy.

Export reviews from Stamped.io

• In Stamped.io’s dashboard: Go to User Contents section → Reviews → Select All
• Use Filter to view and search for the reviews you would like to export. You can only download filtered reviews from Stamped.io by yourself

Note: If you would like to export all reviews from Stamped.io, please kindly send a request to hello@stamped.io and ask for their support to do so.

• Once reviews are filtered, it will enable the Download button on the page. Simply click the button to download the CSV file

Note: If you would like to export more than 50 reviews, those reviews will be sent to your registered email address instead.

Migrate reviews from Stamped.io to Opinew

Export Reviews from Okendo to a CSV file

You can easily migrate reviews from Okendo Reviews & UGC app by following the steps below:

1. Go to Okendo’s App Dashboard: Settings → Head over to the Import/ Export section
2. Click the Request Export button to export reviews to a CSV file
3. After your export request is sent, you will be able to download the file via your Okendo account’s email address

Export Reviews from Ryviu to a CSV file

You can easily migrate reviews from Ryviu Product Reviews App by following the steps below:

• In the Ryviu dashboard: Go to Products → Product Manager
• Choose the product you would like to export reviews, then click the “Export reviews” button to download the CSV file.

Note: You can select up to 20 products to export reviews at once

Export Reviews from Fera.ai to a CSV File

• In Fera.ai’s App Dashboard: Go to the Content section → Choose Reviews
• Click the three dots icon in the top right corner → Select Export

• In the review settings, choose Export All to export all your reviews into a CSV file.

• You can expect to receive all your exported reviews via the email address you used to sign up for your Fera.ai account.

Note: It will take a few minutes for the email to arrive in your inbox and you can download the attached file.

Our Product Review Widget is our main way of showing your reviews on your shop pages, either they were generated by your users through email/sms review requests, imported from other sellers, or migrated from different review applications. We offer six visually appealing ways of displaying them across your store.

What kind of reviews it shows :

The three different elements of content you can find in our main widget are photo/video reviews, just text reviews, and featured reviews showing a special tag to show the difference among the rest of them. 

Where it should be used on the store :

The best place we suggest for the placement of this widget is on the product page template, so the reviews are visible for your customers below your product description, but this can be changed to another space to fit your visual needs.

Using our new web components code, you can display the stars on collection pages, and product pages alike using the new code.

These lines of code need a block of code on the header of the theme, for more information on this matter please read the web components help guide.

1. Place the product review widget

Insert the code to indicate where you want the widget to show. It can be any type of html element but we recommend div or spanelement. It needs to have the required class and data attributes as described below.

To add it in a multiuse template:

You will need a custom CSV file to import reviews only if you can’t find your previous review provider in the drop-down under “Other app”.

Structure and Required Values

The order of the columns is necessary to be exactly as follows, and every required value will be detailed in the list items; values without the ‘Required’ tag are optional and leaving them empty would be a valid value.

• body (Required): String of text with the body of the review
• rating (Required): Number with the rating of the review
• review_date (Required): Date with the following format: 2021-03-25 22:54:53 UTC
  (Single digits are also valid: 2021-3-25)
• state (Required): It must be one of two valid values: published / unpublished
• reviewer_name (Required): String of text with the name of the author
• reviewer_email: String of text with the email of the author
• product_id (Required)*: Number with the Shopify id of the product
• product_handle (Required)*: Shopify Product URL ending.
• reply: String of text with the body of merchant reply to the review. It will show under the review.
• reply_date: Date with the following format: 2021-03-25 22:54:53 UTC (Single digits are also valid: 2021-3-25)
• picture_urls: This cell can be filled in two ways:
  • One single URL
  • Several URLs separated by commas
• SKU (Required)*: Product’s SKU code
• barcode (Required)*: Product’s barcode
• region: ISO 639-1 country code (eg. us, fr)

* At least one of the following values is required to migrate reviews to Opinew: product_id, product_handle, SKU, and barcode.
You must have at least one for the reviews to be imported. Having more than one is not necessary but it doesn’t affect the import process.

Migrate reviews to Opinew from another Shopify app

Make sure you have Opinew installed on your Shopify store.

Step 1: Navigate to Reviews > Import Reviews

Step 2: On the “Import Reviews” page, click on “Migration from other apps & CSV” to open the migration panel.

Step 3: Select “Custom File” and click the ‘Add File’ button.

Having issues when trying to migrate reviews to Opinew?

Reach out with the name of the provider & (if possible) a .csv file of your review data from them and your .myshopify.com domain name, for example: opinew.myshopify.com

You can contact us via email (support@opinew.com) or chat with us at the bottom right-hand side of your Opinew dashboard. We’ll get on processing your import right away & as long as you provide all the info we need, we try to get it done within 48 hours (though it’s often less).

When you migrate reviews to Opinew, we ask you to use only genuine reviews from your customers. People are quite good at spotting fake reviews and increasingly there are more consumer protection laws and court cases around those laws that may negatively impact your business: US fake reviews court case news articles, and FTC case documents.
